I designed and illustrated this book cover for Silvia Moreno-Garcia's novel, The Beautiful Ones. The beetle refers to a recurring theme throughout the book, as do the roses and jasmine tangled in the background. I also thought it was an interesting juxtaposition to place a beetle behind the word "beautiful".
